At A.G. Handle Corporation, we manufacture our paint brush handles using the finest quality materials. In order to deliver a high quality product to you, it is necessary to start with the best raw materials available.
Low grade brush handle manufacturers often do not take moisture content into consideration. When the moisture evaporates from such a brush handle, the result is a loose brush handle and ferrule. To prevent this from occuring, we only use kiln dried lumber in the manufacturing of our paint brush handles. The paint brush handles that come off our production line have a moisture level of 8-12%, which not only prevents shrinking, but also cracking, mildewing and rotting. The use of kiln dried wood, helps to ensure that the paint brush handles remain securely fitted to the ferrules, after the paint brushes are assembled.

Another common problem with brush handles and ferrules is caused by sub-standard fitting techniques. Traditionally, a ferrule is fitted onto a paint brush handle after each sizing modification of the brush handle. This frequent fitting procedure causes a ferrule to stretch and become distorted from the original measurements. As a result, the manufactured paint brush handles and ferrules do not fit together properly. In contrast to other manufacturers of paint brush handles, A.G. Handle Corporation uses aluminum gauges to measure the contour and dimensions of a ferrule. This machinery allows us to avoid stretching the ferrule, as it is not subjected to repeated attempts to fit it with the right size brush handle. By maintaining the original ferrule measurements, our approach ensures a perfect fit between the manufactured paint brush handles and the ferrules.
